Overview
The Left Instrument Control Panel is primarily used to adjust the brightness, contrast, lighting, and foot heating for the captain's side. All controls are rotary knobs, allowing the pilot to make quick adjustments based on ambient lighting and operational needs.
Panel Function Details
Outer Display Brightness/Contrast (OUTBD DSPL/CONTRAST) Knob
- Clockwise rotation: Increases brightness.
- Counterclockwise rotation: Decreases brightness.
- Outer knob: Controls brightness of the outer display unit (IDU1). Turning it to the OFF position powers off IDU1.
- Inner knob: Adjusts the contrast of the information displayed on IDU1.
Console Flood Light (CONSOLE FLOOD) Knob
- Rotation: Adjusts the brightness of the captain's side console lighting.
- OFF position: Turns off the flood lighting for the console.
Inner Display Brightness/Contrast (INBD DSPL/CONTRAST) Knob
- Clockwise rotation: Increases brightness.
- Counterclockwise rotation: Decreases brightness.
- Outer knob: Controls brightness of the inner display unit (IDU2). Turning it to the OFF position powers off IDU2.
- Inner knob: Adjusts the contrast of the information displayed on IDU2.
Foot Heater Selector Switch
- HIGH: Foot heater operates at high intensity.
- LOW: Foot heater operates at low intensity.
- OFF: Foot heater is turned off.
