CARGO AIR and HOLDICE PRO EXIT Panel

Overview

The CARGO AIR & HOLDICE PRO EXIT Control Panel provides control over cargo ventilation and heating for both forward and aft cargo compartments, and allows the pilot to manage stall protection behavior via the HOLDICE PRO EXIT switch.

Panel Components

FWD CARGO AIR VENT/HEAT Selector

  • This rotary selector controls the ventilation and heating for the forward cargo area.

  • It has three positions:

    • OFF

      • FWD cargo ventilation and heating are both turned off.

    • VENT

      • Only ventilation is enabled for the forward cargo compartment. Heating remains off.

    • HEAT

      • Both ventilation and heating are turned on for the forward cargo compartment.

Note

Heating is only available when ventilation is on. Use HEAT mode when temperature regulation for forward cargo is needed.

AFT CARGO AIR VENT Selector

  • This rotary selector controls the ventilation for the aft cargo area.

  • It has two positions:

    • OFF

      • AFT cargo ventilation is turned off.

    • VENT

      • AFT cargo ventilation is enabled.

Note

The aft cargo area does not have an independent heating function. Ventilation is the only control available.

HOLDICE PRO EXIT Switch

  • This is a pushbutton switch used to manage stall advance logic.

  • It functions differently based on its state:

    • Released

      • The system autonomously determines whether to enter stall advance mode based on flight conditions.

    • Pushed (ON illuminated)

      • If the system is currently in stall advance mode 2, this action will exit the mode.

Warning

This switch only functions in normal flight control law mode.
