EVAC Control Panel
Overview
The EVAC Control Panel is used to initiate and control the emergency evacuation alert system. It allows the captain or authorized purser to trigger an evacuation signal throughout the aircraft and manage related aural alerts and control permissions. The panel also includes an EVENT switch for marking data in the quick access recorder.
Panel Components
EVAC COMMAND Switch
- Released: The emergency evacuation system is not active.
-
Pushed: The evacuation signal is triggered:

- Push to inhibit aural alerts during evacuation signaling.

- CAPT&PURS: Authorized mode — Either the captain or the authorized purser can activate the system via cockpit or forward cabin panels.

- A momentary switch used to mark a timestamp in the Quick Access Recorder (QAR).
- Pushed: Logs current flight data point.
