Thrust Control Component Description
Thrust Levers
- The thrust levers and reverse thrust levers are mechanically interlocked. The thrust levers can only be moved when the reverse levers are fully stowed.
- Idle Detent (0): Idle thrust position.
- Forward: Moves the thrust levers forward to increase engine N1 and thrust.
- Retard: Pulls the thrust levers back to decrease engine N1 and thrust.
- This is a momentary pushbutton.
- Pressing either button activates Takeoff / Go-Around (TOGA) thrust.
Reverse Thrust Levers
- Reverse thrust levers can be raised only when the thrust levers are in idle.
- Lift Up: Deploys reverse thrust. If the electronic lock is released, the reverse levers can move to the full position, increasing reverse thrust to maximum.
- Pull Down: Reduces reverse thrust. Once fully stowed, reverse thrust is disengaged.
- Pressing either momentary button disconnects the Autothrottle (A/T).
Left (Right) Fuel Control Switches
- The switch must be lifted before operation to prevent accidental activation.
- ON:
- Opens the engine LPSOV (Low-Pressure Shutoff Valve) and HPSOV (High-Pressure Shutoff Valve), enabling fuel supply.
- OFF:
- Closes the LPSOV and HPSOV, cutting off the fuel supply.
